When white is not really white

This painting shows how I was able to see the white crockery above laid out on a beige table cloth as anything but white. This was the art lesson in which I learned form the art teacher that white is never what is appears to be. If we look hard enough and relate white to what is surrounding it, we will be able to see a myriad of colours. I did and white, to me, is never the same again.
